Upon arrival at Zagreb airport transfer to hotel. Welcome drink and group get together. Acquaint yourself with your tour manager and others over a plate of Štrukli, a local speciality in the Zagreb area. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel Dubrovnik or similar. (D)

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Zagreb with an English-speaking guide. In the fortified, medieval Upper Town, visit St. Mark’s church with its multicolour tiled roof, Parliament and presidential palace. After the tour, proceed to Opatija situated on the picturesque Kvarner Bay, a favourite spa resort of the Habsburgs and the European aristocracy and personalities such as Mahler, Chekhov and Isadora Duncan. Driving about 2 hrs, 30 min. Dinner and overnight in Opatija at Remisens Hotel Admiral/ Remisens Hotel Palace/ Remisens Hotel Imperial  or similar. (B, D)

Istria Excursion. Depart approx at 9am.  Discover the Istrian peninsula and visit the 2000-year old Roman Colosseum located in Pula. Afterwards, relax in Rovinj, perhaps the most beautiful city in Istria and the inspiration of many artists. Depart towards Motovun for a sample of one of the Istrian tastiest treasures, the truffle. Return to hotel approx at 18:00. Dinner and overnight in Opatija at Remisens Hotel Admiral/ Remisens Hotel Palace/ Remisens Hotel Imperial or similar (B, T)

The most beautiful and oldest national park in Croatia under UNESCO protection – consisting of 16 lakes connected by magnificent waterfalls. The park is located in Lika mountain region and visited mostly on foot – however the entrance includes a boat ride across the Emerald Green Lake “Kozjak” and a train ride back to the main entrance. The visit of the park grounds takes approx. 3 hours. After the visit, continue to Zadar for dinner at the hotel restaurant and overnight. Dinner at the hotel restaurant and overnight in Zadar at Hotel Kolovare or similar. (B, D) 

After breakfast at the hotel and check out, it is time to explore Zadar. The historic town of Zadar is rich in cultural and historical monuments like the Roman forum dated to the 1st century AD, and the church of St. Donatus dated to the 9th century AD. Of special interest are the famous Zadar Sea Organs, one of a kind in the world. From the Old Town of Zadar, continue to a local winery in the Dalmatian hinterland. Tasting of the authentic Dalmatian wines and international Cuvees will be accompanied by delicious Croatian-style Tapas. Departure towards Split for overnight at Hotel Art or similar. (B, T) 

This morning, enjoy a tour of Split, including a visit to the famous Diocletian's Palace. Enjoy a traditional Dalmatian lunch – Pašticada at the restaurant Tragos in Trogir. The town of Trogir has a fascinating 2300 years of continuous urban tradition and a high concentration of palaces, churches and towers, as well as a fortress on a small island. Return to Split for overnight at Hotel Cornaro/ Hotel Luxe/ Hotel Corner or similar. (B, L) 

Enroute to Dubrovnik we stop near the town of Ston, and visit a local winery where traditional wine-making has been passed on for generations. Taste the famous Plavac Mali wine, a very close relative to the Zinfandel. A wine presentation on all the specifics of the wine-making process, wine tasting and snack are included. Arrival in Dubrovnik and overnight. (driving time approx. 5 hours) at Hotel Ivka or similar (B, T)

Enjoy a guided tour of old city of Dubrovnik, completed in the thirteen century and remained basically unchanged.  Its medieval ramparts encircle the city that pedestrians can enter through one of two gates. Either way, they cross a stone bridge under the watchful gaze of the city’s patron Saint Blaise (Vlaho). Join the evening promenade down the broad, stone-paved avenue known as Stradun. After sightseeing, enjoy free time to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Dubrovnik at Hotel Kompas/ Hotel Lapad or similar (B)
