Day 1 - Frankfurt Airport - Mainz
Welcome to Germany. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at Frankfurt Airport and then transferred to your award-winning Emerald Star-Ship in Mainz. Here, you’ll be welcomed on board by your friendly captain and crew.
Please book your flight to arrive into Frankfurt prior to 04:00 PM.
Day 2 - Rüdesheim- Koblenz
Your first port of call is Rüdesheim, a delightful small town and gateway to storied German wine culture and Rhine Valley history. A blend of medieval architecture and a lively, tourist-oriented atmosphere, Rüdesheim is celebrated for its fine wines, especially Riesling and Sekt (sparkling wine). Wine-making traditions here date back over a thousand years. Later, enjoy a Welcome Dinner on board your luxury Emerald Star-Ship with your fellow guests.

Considered one of the most magical castles in Germany, Burg Eltz is perched on a rocky outcrop deep in a valley of the Eltz Forest. Unscathed by wars that have crumbled so many other castles in Germany, Burg Eltz is the epitome of a fairytale castle with eight towers and turrets. This morning, after breakfast, it’s time to say farewell to your fellow guests and crew as you disembark your luxury Emerald Star-Ship in Basel. From here, you’ll be transferred by coach to Zermatt, stopping along the way in Montreux. Once you’ve arrived in Zermatt, settle into your centrally-located hotel for your included two-night stay. Later, enjoy a welcome drink with your Tour Director and fellow guests, setting the scene for the exciting days ahead.
Day 9 - Zermatt
Soak up the delightful sights of Zermatt on today’s included morning tour. Later, you may wish to join an optional Emerald DiscoverMORE excursion or continue exploring this charming alpine village at your own pace. Although best known as a world-famous ski resort, with a dramatic backdrop of the iconic Matterhorn and spectacular mountains, there is so much more to discover in Zermatt along its quaint and car-free streets.
