From our vantage point, we can see the Swan and Canning Rivers below and the Darling Ranges to the east. We’ll explore the gardens filled with unique flora and, hopefully, some wildflowers. Our afternoon also includes a visit to the imposing Bell Tower, one of the best things to do in Perth. Later, we’ll gather in the hotel’s charming bar area for a pre-dinner drink.

We’ll have lunch at a foreshore restaurant before starting our Busselton Jetty Experience. The Jetty Train will take us out to the Underwater Observatory, where we can view the aquatic wonders beneath the jetty. After our train returns, we’ll have some time to browse through the souvenir shop. Our accommodation is ideally located by the beach, so why not kick off your shoes and take a stroll in the sand before dinner?

We’ll also tour the impressive, gothic-like limestone Mammoth Cave. The Interpretive Centre will tell us more about the history of the caves after our viewing. Cape Leeuwin, to the south of us, is the junction of the Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean, so it can be breezy here. Pop on a scarf and take a stroll to the 1896 Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, often ablaze with wildflowers showing off its spectacular coastal views. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at The Colourpatch Café. To wrap up our day, we’ll have a wine tasting—because no trip to the Margaret River region is complete without it.
