Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, for a full-day tour. See the imposing Castle, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, and visit the center to explore a maze of beautiful streets and small squares. After lunch (not included), proceed to Braga, a city with more than 2000 years of history, which was founded by the Emperor Augustus Caesar. The main points to visit are the Cathedral, Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, and Republica Square in the center. Return to the hotel and overnight. (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private transfer to Coimbra with a stop in Aveiro. Next to the sea, Aveiro is crisscrossed by a network of canals through which moliceiro boats travel. These slender, colorful boats, used to collect seaweed, are now used for sightseeing. Continue to Coimbra, known for being the home of the first University of Portugal, one of the oldest in Europe, and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. This ancient city, which dates back to Roman times, is full of history and life, giving it a unique charm. A visit to the University of Coimbra and the Joanine Library is recommended. Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Travel to Lisbon with a stop at Fátima, one of Portugal’s most important religious centers, home to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima. Next, visit the coastal village of Nazaré, known for its unique culture. Here, explore the Sítio area and the Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré, offering stunning views of the beach. For lunch (not included), is recommend trying the fresh seafood and fish that Nazaré is famous for. Continue along the coast to Óbidos, a picturesque town with charming streets, a castle, and churches. Ginjinha, the local liquor, is a must-try (not included).
