You'll move from Munich’s beer taverns, where the malty scent of cold German beer fills the air and servers weave between long wooden tables, to Neuschwanstein Castle, whose Alpine turrets inspired Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Beside Lake Lucerne, a funicular starts the climb to Stanserhorn, where you'll dine nearly 6,000 feet above sea level as the Rondorama restaurant turns slowly and mountains, lake and sky pass your table. On the Glacier Express, you watch ice-capped peaks, deep valleys and frozen waterfalls slip beyond the window, with the steady hum of the train beneath you.
