  • Views over Palau, Bastion of Saint Remy
  • Visit Cagliari, UNESCO-listed Nuragic complex at Su Nuraxi, the city’s historic districts of Castello, Stampace and Marina with a Local Specialist, Bosa (voted one of Italy's most beautiful villages), Alghero, Bonifacio, Castelsardo, Santa Teresa Gallura, San Teodoro
Iconic Experience
  • Cagliari: Walk through Cagliari with a Local Specialist, from Castello’s hilltop lanes to Stampace and the Marina. Stand by the Bastion of Saint-Remy for city views, visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta at the heart of the old town and see the medieval Elephant Tower, once part of Cagliari’s defences.
  • Barumini: Explore Su Nuraxi di Barumini and get close to Sardinia’s ancient Nuragic civilisation. Walk through stone towers, narrow passages and village remains as you learn how people lived, gathered and protected this UNESCO-listed Bronze Age settlement, one of the island’s most important archaeological sites.
  • Oristano: Stop in Oristano, a central-west Sardinian city known for Sartiglia, its historic equestrian carnival. Around Piazza Eleonora, you’ll see local shops, arcades and civic landmarks before viewing the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, one of the city’s key sights.
  • Bosa: Recognised by I Borghi più Belli d’Italia as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, Bosa brings together the Temo River, narrow old town lanes and the Castle of Serravalle. You’ll also see traditional lace-making and embroidery practised by local makers, with traditional Sardinian craft worked by hand.
  • Alghero: See Alghero with your Travel Director, from its waterfront bastions to its Catalan-influenced old town. You’ll pass narrow streets, small piazzas and sea views that show why this north-west corner of Sardinia is known as the Coral Riviera.
  • Alghero: Taste indigenous Sardinian varietals and hear how grapes such as Vermentino and Cannonau are linked to the island’s coast, hills and farming traditions. You’ll sample local wines while learning how Sardinia’s climate and soil influence what’s in your glass.
  • Castelsardo: Follow narrow lanes above the Gulf of Asinara and get a closer look at one of northern Sardinia’s fortified coastal towns. You’ll have time to browse local workshops and shops where handwoven baskets, ceramics and traditional crafts are still part of town life.
  • Bonifacio: Cross to Corsica and spend the day in Bonifacio, a French island town set close to Sardinia but with its own character. You’ll choose how to explore, from the clifftop citadel and harbour cafes to nearby beaches, sea views and steep streets that lead through the upper town.
