On your journey along this historic route, stop at Kingman and Seligman - noteworthy towns on Route 66. Learn how although it only existed between 1926 and 1985, Route 66 has become a symbol of the American dream of adventurers and migrants who sought opportunities out west.
- Grand Canyon National Park: One of the seven natural wonders of the world and the second most visited national park in the United States. Explore the Visitor Center and get familiar with the history of the Grand Canyon, grab a coffee at a local cafe and take a walk along the Rim Trail. - Yellowstone National Park: Experience Yellowstone National Park, a place of dramatic landscapes, wildlife and geothermal activity. As you travel through the park, look out for bison, elk and hot springs, all part of the world’s first national park.
- Black Hills: Unlock the history of Crazy Horse Memorial. Learn how construction began in 1948 after Henry Standing Bear, a Lakota elder, commissioned Korczak Ziolkowski, who worked on construction of Mount Rushmore. While the original idea was to carve a face into rock like Mount Rushmore, the monument will ultimately have a full body and horse. There is no completion date yet, but the face of Crazy Horse was completed in 1998 at 87 feet 6 inches (26.7 m) high.
