Day 1 - Fly Stay Cruise - 11 Day Land of the Rising Sun & Korea Cruise - Pre-Cruise Stay in Yokohama
Today your Japan and South Korea adventure begins as you depart Australia on your included flight to Tokyo.Upon arrival, clear customs and immigration and make your way to Yokohama, the cruise port city beside the capital. Check in to your hotel, just a short walk from Yokohama Station, for one night. Settle in and rest ahead of embarkation tomorrow.Special Information
Airport transfers are not included. Our transfer portal offers the option to book your airport transfers for an easier arrival experience (additional charges apply). Access to this portal will be available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed.Hotel check-in time is at 3pm. If arriving prior to this, you will be able to leave your luggage with hotel reception and explore your surroundings until check-in becomes available. The hotel may grant early check-in, however this is strictly subject to availability and at the hotel's discretion.
Some Flights may be required to depart prior to day 1 to get into Japan on the 2nd October.

Day 2 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea
This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel and make the short journey to the cruise terminal in Yokohama, where Diamond Princess awaits. The terminal is a short taxi or transfer ride from your hotel.Once on board, settle into your stateroom and begin exploring the ship. Take in the spiral staircase of the Piazza, the Izumi Japanese Bath, the open-deck pools or one of Diamond Princess's many dining venues and lounges. Raise a glass as you set sail in the afternoon on your seven night cruise.An optional upgrade to a Princess Plus or Princess Premier package is available for those who would like to add drinks, Wi-Fi, casual dining and other inclusions.Special Information:Diamond Princess berths at the Osanbashi or Daikoku Pier in Yokohama, depending on the day.All guests must be on board at least 2 hours prior to the ship's scheduled departure.Port transfers between your Yokohama hotel and the cruise terminal are not included. Today is a relaxed sea day as Diamond Princess makes her way south to Kyushu.Take time to enjoy the ship's many facilities. You could spend a quiet morning in the Izumi Japanese Bath, catch a feature film at Movies Under the Stars, browse the Fine Arts Gallery, or simply find a sunny corner of the open deck with a good book. The Princess Theater hosts evening shows, and there are plenty of dining options to work through across the cruise.

Welcome to Nagasaki, a port city with a long and unique history of international trade and exchange. Like Hiroshima, it carries the weight of the events of 1945 and offers visitors a chance to reflect.
The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park provide an important and moving visit. Glover Garden, on a hillside overlooking the harbour, preserves the homes of nineteenth century European traders and offers fine views over the city. The Mt Inasa ropeway carries you up to one of the world's most celebrated nighttime panoramas. Return to the ship in time for dinner.

Day 5 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea
Today you cross from Japan to South Korea, with Diamond Princess calling into the volcanic island of Jeju. The port city of Seogwipo sits on the island's southern coast and is known for its waterfalls, lava-formed coastline and gentle climate.You may like to visit the Cheonjiyeon and Jeongbang waterfalls, walk along the cliffs at Jusangjeolli with their distinctive hexagonal basalt columns, or take in the lush gardens of Seogwipo. The seafood market in town is a colourful glimpse of local life. Make your way back to the ship in the afternoon.

Enjoy a long breakfast in the Main Dining Room, attend an enrichment lecture, take in an afternoon martini at Crooners, or watch a Broadway-style show in the Princess Theater. Tonight could be the night to try one of the specialty restaurants on board.

Day 7 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea
Diamond Princess docks at Kobe today, the cruise gateway to Japan's former imperial capital, Kyoto. With a full day in port, you have plenty of time to explore.From Kobe, the shinkansen reaches Kyoto in around fifty minutes. The vermilion gates of Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine climb the wooded slopes of Mt Inari and rank among Japan's most photographed sights. The Golden Pavilion of Kinkaku-ji, a Zen temple wrapped in gold leaf, is set in classical strolling gardens. The historic Gion district is famed for its preserved townhouses and traditional teahouses.Closer to port, Kobe offers harbour views, an attractive city centre and the Ikuta Shrine, while Osaka is a short train ride away with Osaka Castle and the lanes of Dotonbori. Return to the ship before sailing.

Day 8 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea
Diamond Princess calls into Shimizu today, your gateway to Mt Fuji. On a clear day, the snow-capped peak provides one of Japan's most recognisable backdrops.You may like to head to Miho-no-Matsubara, a black sand beach famed for its pine grove and views across Suruga Bay to Mt Fuji. The Nihondaira plateau offers another excellent vantage point, while the Tokaido Hiroshige Art Museum showcases ukiyo-e woodblock prints by one of Japan's most celebrated artists. Return to the ship in time for dinner on board.Special Information:Shimizu is a half day call today. Please make your way back on board in time for the evening departure.

Day 9 - Princess Cruise onboard DIAMOND PRINCESS - Japan & South Korea
After breakfast on board, disembark Diamond Princess in Yokohama. Make the short journey back to your hotel to check in for a one night stay.The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Yokohama, Japan's second largest city and one of its most photogenic harbour towns. You might walk through the lively Minato Mirai waterfront with its Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel and Landmark Tower, wander the lanes of the largest Chinatown in Japan, or take in the historic red brick warehouses at Yokohama Akarenga. Tokyo is also close at hand if you prefer to spend the day in the capital, around 30 minutes by train.
