Your spectacular New Zealand journey begins today upon arrival in Auckland. Here, you will be met and transferred to your premium hotel.
Day 2 - Auckland, Bay of Islands
Journey north to see a mighty Kauri tree and marvel at its size. Continue to the stunning Bay of Islands, where you’ll enjoy a special Welcome Dinner.
The Bay of Islands is home to 144 islands providing a stunning aquatic playground off the north coast of the North Island. Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore the subtropical surrounds. Your Tour Director is always on hand to offer some fantastic suggestions to make the most of your time here.
Day 4 - Bay of Islands, Auckland
Explore the beauty of the Bay of Islands before returning to Auckland by coach.
Day 5 - Auckland, Waitomo, Rotorua
Travel to Waitomo to explore the glow worm caves, then continue to Rotorua. Visit Te Puia, New Zealand’s premier cultural centre, and tour the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute. While here, you’ll see the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. This evening, enjoy an Insider Experience.
Rotorua captures the essence of New Zealand with its geothermal geysers, fascinating Maori culture and rich heritage. Your sightseeing continues with a visit to the Agrodome. Alternatively, select your Enhance Your Journey option.
Day 7 - Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington
Travel the Thermal Explorer Highway and visit Lake Taupo and Huka Falls. Arrive in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. This tightly-knit city is home to a stunning waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, and quaint colourful timber houses on the surrounding hills.
Day 8 - Wellington, Christchurch
Begin the day with a spectacular sea crossing between the North and South islands, then continue your journey onwards to Christchurch.
Day 9 - Christchurch, TranzAlpine Train, Franz Glacier/Ka Roimata o Hine Hukatere
Ride the iconic TranzAlpine train, then drive through the Southern Alps, home to the Franz Josef/Waiau and Fox glaciers, as well as spectacular lakes and rainforests.
Day 10 - Fox Glacier, Queenstown
The stunning drive across Haast Pass brings you to Queenstown, New Zealand's adventure capital.
Soar to the top of a Queenstown peak and check out the view as all of Queenstown spreads below you. Following this, enjoy lunch at one of the FergFoods restaurants located throughout the city centre (Fergburger, FergsBar, Mrs. Ferg & FergBaker). The rest of the day is at leisure, so perhaps try a select experience.
Day 12 - Queenstown, Milford Sound/Piopiotahi, Te Anau
Follow The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu to the incredible Fiordland National Park. Milford Sound/Piopiotahi is the jewel in the crown. Cruise the full length of magnificent Milford Sound/Piopiotahi before travelling to Te Anau.
Day 13 - Te Anau, Dunedin
Journey through Southland countryside before arriving in Dunedin for a tour. This picturesque city is famed as the Wildlife Capital of New Zealand where you spot sea lions, fur seals, rare penguins, and the world’s only mainland-breeding albatross colony. The city retained its Gaelic roots after being settled by Scots in 1848 with its stunning Gaelic-inspired architecture, performances of the haggis ceremony, and the finest-tasting whisky in the country.
Day 14 - Dunedin, Aoraki/Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo
See the Moeraki Boulders and visit Oamaru. See Aoraki/Mount Cook, then arrive at Peppers Bluewater Resort for a farewell dinner.
Day 15 - Lake Tekapo, Depart Christchurch
Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd, taking in lake views before continuing to Christchurch, where your journey comes to an end.
