Your Itinerary
Welcome to Helsinki. We’ll meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. This evening, come together for a welcome reception.
Day 2 - Helsinki, Rovaniemi (Glass Igloos)
This morning after breakfast, board your included flight to Rovaniemi and travel out to your accommodation, where you will stay in a glass igloo for two nights. This evening, be shown how to take the best pictures on your own camera, which will come in handy should you see the Northern Lights. Later, snuggle in and feel as if you’re sleeping in the open air, while being warm and cosy inside. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the ethereal Northern Lights from your igloo.
Day 3 - Rovaniemi (Glass Igloos)
This morning, visit the Arktikum, a science museum that provides an insight into the history of the region. You will also enjoy a short presentation, ‘The Land of Snow and Northern Lights’. Enjoy lunch in a traditional Sami hut, where you can sample the local coffee, unique crowberry juice and homemade pastries.
The choice is yours when it comes to today’s sightseeing. Later, pay a visit to Santa Claus Village before returning to the centre of Rovaniemi. This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant known for its traditional Lappish cuisine.
Travel to Ranua Wildlife Park, one of the northernmost zoos in the world, home to arctic animals including polar bears and lynx. Return to Rovaniemi, where you will have the evening at leisure.
Day 6 - Rovaniemi, Helsinki
Transfer to Rovaniemi airport for your included return flight to Helsinki. On arrival, take a guided tour of the Iitalla & Arabia Design Centre, where you’ll learn about the history of Finnish ceramic art and glass design.
Enjoy a guided exploration of Helsinki’s best sites today, starting with a visit to Temppeliaukio, the famous ‘Rock Church’. In Sibelius Park, view the Sibelius Monument before moving on to the Olympic Stadium and the impressive Oodi Library. Stroll along the city’s main street, Mannerheimintie, and see its many exquisite buildings, including the Opera House, Alvar Aalto and the National Museum. Tonight, savour a farewell dinner.
Day 8 - Helsinki, Amsterdam, Embark Ship
Take an included flight to Amsterdam, then board your ship for your
Magnificent Europe river cruise.
Spend today on your preferred activity. Tonight, celebrate with a gala welcome dinner.
This morning will be spent cruising through Germany before your special Signature Experience at Namedy Castle.
Cruise through the Rhine Gorge to Rudesheim and set out on your chosen activity.
Step ashore in Miltenberg and set out on a guided exploration before time at leisure.

Sail to Bamberg, where you’ll join a guided exploration with a local expert.
This morning gives you the chance to choose your sightseeing activity. This afternoon, continue cruising on the Main-Danube Canal. Having taken 32 years to construct, the canal links the North and Black seas.
In Regensburg, explore its atmospheric World Heritage-listed city centre. With a history dating back to the Roman times, this incredible city was the first capital of Bavaria.
Day 17 - Passau, Salzburg, Linz
Take a guided tour of Salzburg before a Signature Experience.
Visit the statuary-adorned Melk Abbey. Cruise through the Wachau Valley to Dürnstein, where you’ll roam its cobblestoned lanes at your leisure.
Arrive in Vienna and set out on a city tour. Take in the city’s many landmarks along the Ringstrasse, as well as St Stephen’s Cathedral. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore. This evening is set aside for your magical Signature Experience.
Set out on the activity of your choice. Later, set sail for Budapest.

Budapest taking in its historic monuments, including Fisherman’s Bastion and Heroes’ Square. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore.
Day 22 - Disembark Ship, Depart Budapest
Sadly, the time has come to say goodbye and be transferred to the airport.
