Some things to note
- Tipping is not included for the Belmond Andean Explorer train and will need to be paid locally. We suggest you allow for approximately US$10-15 per person, per day
- You will need to pack an overnight bag (maximum of 5 kilograms per bag) for your overnight stay in Machu Picchu. Due to limited space on the trains you are unable to take your main suitcase, it will however, be transferred to the hotel in the Sacred Valley so it is there for you when you arrive. We suggest you bring an umbrella, spray jacket and strong insect repellent with you. Our accommodation will also have its own hot springs, so you may also like to bring your swimwear.
- On days 10 and 11 we will be overnighting on the Belmond Andean Explorer train. Only 5 kilograms of hand luggage per person is permitted in your cabin. Your main suitcase will be stored in the luggage coach, however you will only be able to access this by contacting staff on board the train. We recommend any essential items such as medication be stored in your hand luggage for ease of access.

All optional excursions are based on minimum participants and are subject to availability. The length of optional excursions advised is an approximate only. Optional excursions can be booked on tour directly with your Tour Director or guide. We recommend arranging the booking at the beginning of the tour to avoid disappointment. Please note some optional excursions may also be available on multiple or alternate days. Prices are a guide only and are subject to change without prior notice.
