Your Itinerary
Your journey begins today on arrival in Vancouver. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of this cosmopolitan city. After settling in, meet with your Tour Director and fellow guests during a Welcome Reception this evening.
Fall in love with the beautiful city of Vancouver and discover some of its most vibrant districts and best-loved attractions on a sightseeing tour, including the Waterfront and historic Gastown.
Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops
This morning, board the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train and settle into your carriage with large panoramic windows for expansive views. Along the way, enjoy incredible front-row views of the region’s natural beauty, taking in some of its many highlights, which include Fraser Valley, the Coast Mountains and Fraser Canyon. Later, arrive in the city of Kamloops where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer, Jasper
Reboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you continue your spectacular rail adventure today. Follow the North Thompson River past rolling landscapes before ascending through the majestic scenery of the Monashee Mountains. Journey onward past Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Alberta Icefields. Then head past Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, before traversing the Yellowhead Pass. Later you’ll enter Jasper National Park, one of Canada’s oldest and largest national parks. Tonight, enjoy free time to explore and perhaps dine in one of Jasper’s restaurants.
Day 5 - Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Banff
Your discovery of Jasper National Park continues today as you explore Maligne Canyon. Enjoy time walking through its deep rocky ravines then hit the road as you travel along the Icefields Parkway, considered to be the world’s most scenic highway. Stop along the way at the Columbia Icefield for a thrilling Ice Explorer ride onto Athabasca Glacier.

Day 7 - Banff, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake
Depart Banff to visit Moraine Lake (weather permitting) and Lake Louise. Also known as the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’, nothing quite prepares you for this incredible natural setting. Continue on to Emerald Lake Lodge.
Day 8 - Emerald Lake, Kelowna
Descend from the Rockies via beautiful Yoho National Park, then continue to Kelowna. Settle into the Manteo on the banks of Lake Okanagan.
Day 9 - Kelowna, Whistler
Travel through the vast landscapes of the Cariboo region today, before arriving in Whistler. This famous alpine resort town offers an array of cultural and outdoor discoveries.
Day 10 - Whistler, Victoria
On your journey south to Victoria this morning, travel along the Sea to Sky Highway for breathtaking views. On the way, stop at Shannon Falls, which towers above the Howe Sound, North America’s southernmost fjord, before taking a ferry ride across the Georgia Strait.

Day 12 - Vancouver, Embark Ship
After breakfast this morning, transfer to Vancouver to board your premium cruise ship. Enjoy time to settle into your cabin, familiarise yourself with life on board and enjoy dinner tonight.
Enjoy a full day at sea today. Relax and take in the majestic scenery as your ship cruises through the Inside Passage.
Arrive today in the Alaskan town of Ketchikan, regarded as the salmon capital of the world and renowned for its idyllic scenery and rich Alaskan Native cultures. Here, you will have free time to relax and explore the town at your leisure. Alternatively, perhaps choose to join a walking tour of the town or learn about the history of Tlingit culture at Saxman Native Village (own expense), where you’ll be fascinated by the collection of Native American totem poles found on display.
Today your journey brings you to Alaska’s capital, Juneau. There is time to explore the region’s glacial terrain and gold rush history or perhaps choose to make your way to the town and explore the rustic shops located here. You may also like to experience an exhilarating dog sled ride over a glacier or try one of the other activities available to you. These include sampling delicious salmon baked over a fire or even trying your hand at panning for gold in this former gold rush town (own expense).
This morning you’ll dock at the port of Skagway, which is located at the northernmost point of the Inside Passage. Skagway was once a frontier town and gateway to the Klondike and still celebrates its gold rush past to this day. You will find a variety of stores and saloons in town that capture the excitement and history of the gold rush days. Here you will also have the opportunity to learn more about gold prospecting or view some of the fascinating local wildlife (own expense).
Wake up to the breath-taking sight of Glacier Bay National Park this morning, with its formidable rivers of ice, wild coastline and sheltered fjords. As you cruise through the national park, it is easy to see why the area has received World Heritage status. Today, you’ll gain a more detailed insight into the unique nature of this national park as local rangers will join you on board to impart their knowledge, explaining the geological wonders and diverse wildlife found in this remarkable region.
Today you’ll cruise north the open waters of the Gulf of Alaska stopping at College Fjord.
Day 19 - Disembark Ship, Whittier, Anchorage
Disembark in Whittier before travelling to Anchorage.
Day 20 - Anchorage, Denali
Travel by train today on the McKinley Explorer to Denali. Enjoy the breathtaking expanse of the pristine Alaskan wilderness unfolding before you as you relax and unwind. Traverse the magnificent Hurricane Gulch and journey through Broad Pass. Witness the clouds part, revealing the majestic silhouette of Mt. Denali.
Day 21 - Denali National Park
Journey into the heart of Denali National Park on a day tour. Watch for wildlife such as moose, caribou, grizzly bears and wolves. Learn about the work of wildlife biologists and see why conservation is so paramount to this part of Alaska.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing at McKinley Chalet Resort maybe spend time at their social hub Denali Square and enjoy a ranger talk.
Day 22 - Denali, Fairbanks
Depart Denali today and travel to Fairbanks for a cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler. Flowing through the central part of Alaska it is a popular destination for water activities and home to several species of fish and stunning views. Visit a replica Native Alaska Athabascan village.
Day 23 - Depart Fairbanks
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.
