Full day excursion in Cappadocia beginning with a trip to the Kaymakli Underground City. Marvel at the sheer determination of its past inhabitants with the labyrinth of tunnels and rooms. On the way to Pamukkale visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai, which was an early form of a motor inn. Morning visit to the ancient spa retreat of Hierapolis. Highlights include the Apollo Temple, magnificent Necropolis graveyard and the restorative Lime Cascades running down the calcium build up. Continue on to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis “one of the seven wonders of the ancient world”. Drive to Izmir for overnight at Kaya Prestige Hotel. (B, D)
