Your journey begins today as you arrive in Toronto, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
A Welcome Breakfast gives you the chance to meet your fellow guests and Travelmarvel Tour Director. After breakfast this morning, enjoy a tour of this vibrant city, which is said to be the most multiculturally diverse in the world with a vibrant mix of cultures, languages and cuisines. Spend time discovering some of its many attractions and highlights.
Cruise the spectacular Niagara Falls today which is collectively made up of three impressive waterfalls. You’ll board a thrilling boat cruise for a journey to the base of Horseshoe Falls (raincoats provided). This is the largest of the three falls.
Day 4 - Kingston, 1000 Islands, Ottawa
Board a cruise around the picturesque 1000 Islands of the St Lawrence Seaway. The Thousand Islands is a scenic area which forms the border between the United States and Canada. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, crystal-clear waters and over 1800 islands which make it a popular destination for outdoor activities.
Join a guided tour of Ottawa, a vibrant city with a rich culture, diverse culinary experiences and outdoor activities. Explore the myriad of museums, historic sites, beautiful architecture and attractions. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 6 - Ottawa, Quebec City
Visit Parc Omega, a wildlife park located in Montebello, Quebec that provides guests with an immersive experience, allowing them to observe the animals in their natural habitat from the safety of their vehicle. It covers over 2,200 acres of land and is home to many Canadian animals including moose, deer, wolves, bears and beavers. Afterwards, arrive in Quebec City.
Join a guided sightseeing tour of Quebec City, a beautiful and historic city that offers visitors a unique cultural experience. Spend the afternoon as you wish. Enjoy the facilities of your hotel or perhaps head out and explore.
Day 8 - Quebec City, Montreal
This morning after breakfast, journey to the city of Montreal. Experience it’s thriving arts and culture scene with many museums, galleries and theatres. See beautiful buildings and monuments such as Notre Dame Basilica and explore the many beautiful parks and outdoor spaces. This evening, meet with your fellow travellers to enjoy a special Farewell Dinner.
Today, fly from Montreal to Vancouver (flight not included). Your journey begins on arrival in Vancouver. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of this cosmopolitan city. After settling in, meet with your Tour Director and fellow guests during a Welcome Reception this evening.
Fall in love with the beautiful city of Vancouver and discover some of its most vibrant districts and best-loved attractions on a sightseeing tour, including the Waterfront and historic Gastown.
Day 11 - Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops
This morning, board the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train and settle into your carriage with large panoramic windows for expansive views. Along the way, enjoy incredible front-row views of the region’s natural beauty, taking in some of its many highlights, which include Fraser Valley, the Coast Mountains and Fraser Canyon. Later, arrive in the city of Kamloops where you’ll stay overnight.
Day 12 - Rocky Mountaineer, Jasper
Reboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you continue your spectacular rail adventure today. Follow the North Thompson River past rolling landscapes before ascending through the majestic scenery of the Monashee Mountains. Journey onward past Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Alberta Icefields. Then head past Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, before traversing the Yellowhead Pass. Later you’ll enter Jasper National Park, one of Canada’s oldest and largest national parks. Tonight, enjoy free time to explore and perhaps dine in one of Jasper’s restaurants.
Day 13 - Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Banff
Your discovery of Jasper National Park continues today as you explore Maligne Canyon. Enjoy time walking through its deep rocky ravines then hit the road as you travel along the Icefields Parkway, considered to be the world’s most scenic highway. Stop along the way at the Columbia Icefield for a thrilling Ice Explorer ride onto Athabasca Glacier.
Today is yours to spend at leisure and explore more of this beautiful alpine resort at your own pace.
Day 15 - Banff, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake
Depart Banff to visit Moraine Lake (weather permitting) and Lake Louise. Also known as the ‘Jewel of the Rockies’, nothing quite prepares you for this incredible natural setting. Continue on to Emerald Lake Lodge.
Day 16 - Emerald Lake, Kelowna
Descend from the Rockies via beautiful Yoho National Park and travel to Kelowna. Stay on the banks of the lake at Manteo at Eldorado Resort.
Day 17 - Kelowna, Whistler
Travel through the vast landscapes of the Cariboo region today, before arriving in Whistler. This famous alpine resort town offers an array of cultural and outdoor discoveries.
Day 18 - Whistler, Victoria
On your journey south to Victoria this morning, travel along the Sea to Sky Highway for breathtaking views. On the way, stop at Shannon Falls, which towers above the Howe Sound, North America’s southernmost fjord, before taking a ferry ride across the Georgia Strait.
Enjoy time at leisure today to explore Victoria as you wish.
Day 20 - Vancouver, Embark Cruise
After breakfast this morning, transfer to Vancouver to board your premium cruise ship. Enjoy time to settle into your cabin, familiarise yourself with life on board and enjoy dinner tonight.
Enjoy a full day at sea today. Relax and take in the majestic scenery as your ship cruises through the Inside Passage. Pass rocky headlands and glide over icy waters while enjoying your ship’s ample facilities.
Arrive in the Alaskan town of Ketchikan today, renowned for its idyllic scenery and Alaska Native cultures. Here you’ll have free time to relax and explore. Alternatively, join a walking tour of the town or learn about fascinating Tlingit culture at Saxman Native Village (own expense).
Today, arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s capital. Explore the region’s glacial terrain and uncover its gold rush history. While here, you may like to join a dog sled experience and ride across the surface of a glacier. You may prefer to sample some delicious salmon baked over a fire or even try your hand at panning for gold (own expense).
This morning, dock in the port of Skagway, which sits at the northernmost point of the Inside Passage. This former frontier town is the gateway to the Klondike. Here you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about gold prospecting or perhaps view some of the fascinating local wildlife (own expense).
Wake up to the incredible sight of Glacier Bay National Park this morning. Formidable rivers of ice, pristine fjords and wild coastlines are in abundance here. Gain further insight as local rangers join you on board your ship today to explain the geological wonders and diverse wildlife of the region.
Today, cruise north through the open waters of the Gulf of Alaska. Enjoy the fresh ocean air and endless horizon while relaxing on board and making the most of your ship’s premium facilities. This evening, savour a final dinner on board with your fellow travellers.
Day 27 - Disembark Cruise, Whittier, Anchorage
Disembark in Whittier and visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre. There’s a chance to get up close to a moose, and learn about and feed Canada’s national animal on a moose encounter program. Later, head to Anchorage.
Day 28 - Anchorage, Denali
Today, travel on the McKinley Explorer to Denali township. This evening, enjoy a hearty meal in Denali Square.
Day 29 - Denali National Park
Travel into Denali National Park and discover its beauty during a tundra wilderness tour led by a local ranger. Some of the highlights may include seeing herds of caribou, muskoxen and other arctic animals, as well as observing the local flora and fauna of the tundra. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the work of wildlife biologists.
Day 30 - Denali, Fairbanks
Depart Denali today and travel to Fairbanks for a cruise on the Chena River aboard a sternwheeler. Flowing through the central part of Alaska it is a popular destination for water activities and home to several species of fish and stunning views. Visit a replica Native Alaska Athabascan village.
Day 31 - Depart Fairbanks
Your journey comes to an end today, as you transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
