Your night, your way: what better way to connect with the group than discovering a new city together? Get lost among the vibrant streets, wander beside golden temples, or navigate the winding markets like it’s a group mission.  

Rewind time: founded in 1296, the Old City whispers 'ancient' like ghosts of Chiang Mai past. Join your Trip Leader on a walking tour where they share stories from the steps of golden temples, crumbling city walls and local markets. 

Later, your way: coffee fiend? Chang Mai's coffee culture isn't celebrated enough – head to Nimmanhaemin or Chang Moi for more. Want to try budget-friendly street eats? Santitham is a local favourite. Grab the group or go solo: it's your choice. 

Into the jungle: lush trees, jagged mountains, cascading water... see a different side to Northern Thailand! Swap the minicoach for a ride along the jungle’s Wang River on a bamboo raft. Sturdy, handmade and traditional, you'll soak up the atmosphere as the current gently carries you downstream. 

Lunch : stop at a waterfall, hidden in the forest. Dip in rippling waters before snacking on lunch, feet dangling along the water's edge.  

Cook away: hungry for more local bites? There's a cooking class led by a local when you arrive at Maewin Resort. Listen to secrets spilled over chopping boards, toss Thai ingredients in the air, create your own dish to chomp and taste. 

Misty mountain mornings: pray you wake up to mist for breakfast; it'll feel like you're in another world. Eat plenty, today's road trip is packed. First: Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand's highest peak. Views from the 'Roof of Thailand' are made for royalty. Gasp, stare, soak it all up. 

Another side to Thailand: after stopping at Wachirathan Waterfall, there's another dose of zen waiting for you at the Royal Twin Pagodas. Intricate carvings, lush gardens, the sound of rippling water... We're with you if you close your eyes and sit on the ground for a silent meditation. Then: Sukhothai's next and you've got the whole evening to relax. 

Your day, your way: you're halfway through your Northern Thailand journey which makes this a day to do more of what you came for. Dip in the pool. Snooze on the sunbed. Read that book you've been carrying with you. 

UNESCO site: Sukhothai was once the ancient capital of this land. Its temples, gardens and waters remain as your window into the past. See the historical park under the colours of sunset on a group bike tour. 

Gateway to more: the last stop before discovering Thailand's most remote regions is just a few hours' drive away. After stopping in Mae Sot for a local lunch and a last-minute essentials shop, venture deeper into the mountains. 

Karen tribe: gawk at dense jungles and changing ridgelines during your five-hour drive inland (there’s a rest stop, don’t worry!) before reaching the isolated Karen village of Palatha. Feel the warmth of their smiles, watch a traditional Kareng weaving demonstration and enjoy a home-cooked feast. Tonight, sleep in a local family's simple home with nature as your quiet lullaby. 

Walk with elephants: follow local mahouts (elephant caretakers) through Umphang forests to look for elephants snacking on leaves, swishing their tails and stumbling through rivers. Stop beside a waterfall or peaceful patch of ground for lunch, prepared by your host family. 

Villager life: back in Palatha Village, you have the rest of the day to do as the locals do. Seek a village elder and be in their wise presence. Stroll around the village and skip with children. Or nap under endless blue skies. 

Family dinner: join your trip mates and Karen family host for one more meal together. Swap wide-eyed moments from the day, ask your hosts some final burning questions, and smell the mix of ingredients as they simmer above flames. 

Good morning: hear morning bird calls, watch as the sun rises into the sky, and observe the flutters of jungle leaves from an observation deck with the group at your side.  

Lunch en route: say your farewells to your family hosts in the Karen village where you've spent two nights and hop on the minicoach for a journey back to Mae Sot, stopping for lunch with a view along the way. 

Bangkok bound: Thailand's capital is calling and it's a place you don't ignore. Hop in your private transfer to the hotel before an evening of free time. Keep hold of your trip mates and follow your nose, the street food here is (not to be dramatic) to die for. 

Klong cruising: step onto a traditional long-tail boat for a morning of floating through Bangkok’s famous canals. Klongs in Thai. Spot stilt houses, local neighbourhoods and stop at Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen – a Buddha statue, temple complex and blend of past and present – as well as a local artist village. 

Later, your way: the city is yours for the taking. Ask your Trip Leader about their favourite spots to visit. Wander down a side street with an air of mystery. Or check your TikTok saves for the places past you wished to experience. 

Thai goodbye: grab that last group shot, it's time to reflect on the memories you've made and the moments you've shared over one last dinner together. The location? A restaurant with a local's touch.  

A Bangkok goodbye: the trip officially ends after one last breakfast together but take this as your sign to keep the adventure going. You've got a new group of mates who you've just cemented in the friends-for-life zone and those clothes can be washed in a local launderette, ready for round two of adventure.
