Start your day with a scenic drive along Hvalfjörður fjord, known for its quiet beauty and dramatic landscape. Your first stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll see the meeting point of two tectonic plates and learn about Iceland’s historical significance as the site of the world’s oldest parliament.

Next, follow the Golden Circle route, beginning with the Geysir geothermal area. Watch as the Strokkur geyser erupts, sending a plume of water high into the air. At the nearby Restaurant Geysir, the chef offers you a taste of traditional Icelandic food—freshly baked hot spring bread, served with Icelandic butter, boiled eggs, and pickled herring.

From there, continue to Gullfoss, the famous double waterfall that cascades into a rugged canyon. The sound of the water crashing down is as impressive as the view itself.

In the afternoon, visit an Icelandic horse farm, where you’ll learn about this unique breed and its important place in Icelandic culture. Then, head to a geothermal greenhouse, where Icelanders use the island’s natural heat to grow crops in an otherwise harsh environment.

After a full day of exploration, you'll make your way to your accommodation in South Iceland. As night falls, venture outside to experience the Northern Lights, hoping to catch a glimpse of the colorful aurora in the clear, dark skies of rural Iceland.

Today, we journey along Iceland's scenic South Coast, where nature’s power and beauty unfold at every stop. Begin with a visit to the Lava & Volcano Exhibition Centre, where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the island’s dynamic geology and its active volcanoes, which shape both the land and the lives of those who call Iceland home.

Next, travel east to one of Iceland’s finest folk museums, where you can step back in time to explore the country’s rural past. The museum showcases an impressive collection of farm tools, domestic artefacts, and several traditional turf-built houses, offering insight into life on the island before modern times.

Not far from the museum, the Skógafoss waterfall stands as one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. With its towering 60-meter drop, this powerful waterfall creates a stunning backdrop for photos and is known for the rainbows that often form in the mist on sunny days.

In the afternoon, head to Reynisfjara, a striking black sand beach near the village of Vík. Walk along the shoreline, where jagged basalt columns rise from the sea, and towering bird cliffs provide a home for thousands of seabirds during the summer months. The haunting beauty of the beach, with its dark sands and powerful waves, is unlike anywhere else.

After a day of exploration, we make our way to Kirkjubæjarklaustur, where we’ll spend the next two nights in a peaceful setting near Vatnajökull National Park. This remote location, far from city lights, is perfect for searching the dark skies for the elusive Northern Lights. With luck, the aurora borealis will dance across the sky in vivid colours, adding a magical end to your day.

Today, we dive into Iceland’s glacial wonders, where ice and snow dominate the landscape. Our first stop is Jökulsárlón, a stunning glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs. The sight of massive chunks of ice drifting serenely in the crystal-clear waters is truly breathtaking, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot seals swimming among the ice.

From the lagoon, we make our way to the nearby Diamond Beach, where large icebergs, having broken off from the glacier, wash ashore and lie scattered across the black sand like jewels. The contrast between the dark volcanic sand and the sparkling ice is a photographer's dream.

In the afternoon, we visit the charming turf church at Hof, a small but picturesque structure that gives a glimpse into Iceland's rural history. Afterward, we head to Vatnajökull National Park, Europe’s largest national park, which is home to Iceland’s highest mountains and the Vatnajökull glacier, one of the largest ice caps in Europe. The park's vast, unspoiled landscapes offer a rare alpine environment, with rugged terrain and towering peaks.

In the evening, settle in for a film presentation about the Northern Lights, as part of the Northern Lights Academy program. This educational experience will help you understand the science behind the aurora borealis and its magical displays.

Today’s journey takes us across some of Iceland’s most stunning landscapes, starting with a drive through the Eldhraun lava field, one of the largest volcanic lava flows in the world. As we head toward the village of Vík, we make a photo stop at the remarkable black sand beach. The dramatic cliffs rise sharply from the sea, and the crashing waves create an awe-inspiring atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to snap a few photos of Iceland’s unique coastal beauty.

From Vík, we continue west toward Seljalandsfoss, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. This waterfall is distinctive because you can walk behind the cascade, offering a unique perspective and a chance to feel the spray of the water as it plunges from the cliff above. The surrounding landscape of green meadows and volcanic mountains makes for a striking backdrop.

In the afternoon, we head to the iconic Blue Lagoon for a relaxing soak in its warm, mineral-rich waters. This geothermal spa is a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration. The milky blue waters, surrounded by black lava fields, provide a surreal and soothing experience, and the opportunity to rejuvenate before your return to Reykjavik.

We then make our way back to Reykjavík, saying goodbye to your tour escort, where we’ll arrive around dinner time for one final night in the city.
